WVVD™︎ Music Distribution is a specialist music distribution service focused exclusively on global club music culture. Works that do not meet the following criteria may be declined following review.

Eligible Content

Works belonging to genres within the club music culture as listed in the Service’s genre list (Tech House, Techno, House, Drum & Bass, etc.).

Ineligible Content

• Works containing Japanese-language metadata (titles, artist names, descriptions, etc.)
• Works in genres that fall outside global club music culture, such as J-Pop, orthodox jazz, or classical music
• Any other works the Company determines to be unsuitable for distribution

Only files meeting the following specifications are accepted. Files in any other format cannot be processed.

Only square (1:1) artwork is accepted. Artwork must be uploaded via the Service’s dedicated uploader.

Single Release

Each track must be under 10 minutes. Tracks of 10 minutes or longer cannot be registered as a single.

Maximum Track Length

30 minutes

Maximum Tracks per Album

25 tracks

Tracks of 10 minutes or longer cannot be registered as singles because some distribution platforms do not support single-track sales at that length.

All of the following information is required when submitting a distribution request.

Release Information

• Desired release date (treated as the official release date in all metadata)
• Original release date (required only when distributing a previously released work)
• Catalog number
• Release title
• Release description

Artist Information

• Artist name
• Artist’s legal name (Romanized) and Country / Region
• If a remixer is involved: remixer name, legal name (Romanized), and Country / Region

The Solo Artist Plan application form does not include a field for featuring artists. Distribution of works featuring guest artists is available under the Label Owner Plan only.

Track Information (per track)

• Track title
• Mix name
• Genre (select from the Service’s genre list)
• Composer name (legal name, Romanized — required)
• Producer name

Both Plans

• JAN code (typically obtained by the Service)
• ISRC code (typically obtained by the Service)
• Track preview start point

Label Owner Plan Only

• Copyright © line (per track — only when a third-party credit other than the User’s label name applies)
• Phonographic ℗ line (per track — only when a third-party credit other than the User’s label name applies)

Original Mix

If no specific mix name applies, “Original Mix” will be assigned automatically. Parentheses are added by the system.

Remix

For remix tracks, the mix name must follow the fixed format: “{Artist Name} Remix”.

Including an artist name in the mix name of any non-remix track is not permitted under any circumstances.

The distribution request form includes input rules and auto-correction features to ensure compliance with the formatting requirements of distribution platforms and EAN/ISRC registration bodies.

• Release titles and track titles must use Title Case (first letter of each word capitalized)
• Artist names may be entered freely; Title Case is recommended
• ALL CAPS (fully uppercase) is not permitted in release titles or track names; it is permitted for artist names and similar fields
• feat. / ft. / featuring are prohibited in all form fields. Collaborating artist information must be entered in the designated field within the application form
• Full-width characters (hiragana, katakana, kanji, full-width alphanumerics) will be automatically converted or removed
• If an inappropriate expression is detected, the middle portion of the word will be automatically replaced with asterisks (*)

Any submission that does not comply with these rules may be automatically corrected by the system or manually revised without prior notice. The corrected content will be used as the final metadata for distribution.

Distribution begins a minimum of 45 days after the submission of a distribution request. Please set your desired release date to at least 45 days from the date of submission.

Metadata Corrections

Metadata corrections after distribution has begun are not accepted under any circumstances. Please review all information carefully before submitting your request.

Takedowns

Takedown requests may be submitted six (6) months or more after the distribution start date. To request a takedown, log in to your user page and submit the relevant catalog number via the dedicated takedown form. Takedown requests made within six (6) months of the distribution start date cannot be accommodated under any circumstances.

In accordance with Beatport’s distribution rules, a maximum of two (2) releases (two catalog numbers) per label per day are permitted. If you plan to release three or more works from the same label on the same day, please split your submissions across separate dates.
